VISITING THE BAHÁ'Í GARDENS AT THE BAHÁ'Í WORLD CENTRE IN HAIFA, ISRAEL

Guided Tours

Guided tours of the upper and lower terraces are available throughout the year every day of the week but Wednesday.

Tours, which are free of charge, must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance, by calling 972-4-831-3131 or by fax 972-4-831-3132.

Each tour lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour and spreads over half a kilometer. The tour includes going down a hundreds of steep stairs (between 500-700).

People with health problems, such as joint or breathing ailments, should be advised that the tour can be taxing. Visitors take a tour on their own responsibility.

We recommend wearing a hat and comfortable shoes as well as taking a bottle of water with you.

The tours do not include a guided visit to the Shrine of the Báb. The gardens immediately surrounding the Shrine are open from 9:00 to 12:00 and do not require a reservation.

Open visits

There are three areas in the Bahá'í Gardens that can be visited without reservations:

• The uppermost terrace at 61 Yefe Nof St.
• The gardens adjacent to the Shrine of the Báb, 80 Hatzionut Ave.
• The plaza below the first terrace at the intersection of Hagefen St. and Ben-Gurion Ave.

These areas are open every day (except on Bahá'í Holy Days) from 9:00 to 17:00. The gardens closest to the Shrine are open from 9:00 to 12:00.

Please note. The gardens are part of a holy site. Modest dress is required. No pets will be admitted, and no weapons may be carried on the premises. No picnic or snacks in the gardens. Children must be kept under close supervision.
